By downloading, installing, or using RupeeVault ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
RupeeVault is a personal finance tracking application that:
- Automatically parses bank SMS messages to track expenses
- Categorizes transactions by merchant and type
- Provides spending insights and analytics
- Allows manual entry of cash transactions
- Sends bill reminders
All features work entirely offline, and no data is transmitted to external servers.
3. User Responsibilities
By using RupeeVault, you agree to:
- Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
- Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Take responsibility for the security of your device
4. SMS Permission
RupeeVault requires SMS read permission to function. By granting this permission, you understand that:
- The App will scan SMS messages from bank sender IDs only
- Personal messages are filtered out and never processed
- All processing happens locally on your device
- No SMS content is ever transmitted externally
5. Data Accuracy
While RupeeVault strives to accurately parse bank SMS messages, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy due to variations in SMS formats across different banks and institutions. You should:
- Verify important financial information with your bank statements
- Report any parsing errors to help us improve
- Not rely solely on RupeeVault for critical financial decisions
6. Intellectual Property
RupeeVault and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by RupeeVault and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
RupeeVault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- All bank SMS formats will be correctly parsed
- The App will meet all your specific requirements
8. Limitation of Liability
RupeeVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.
9. Free Service
RupeeVault is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
